Fuel Cost Calculator: UAE Fuel Cost Per KM
This fuel cost calculator works out exactly how much fuel a trip or a regular commute costs in the UAE, using this month’s real Super 98, Special 95, E‑Plus 91 and Diesel prices.
Please enter a distance and fuel economy greater than zero.
Fuel cost for this distance
AED 0.00
Estimates only. Actual fuel cost varies with driving style, traffic, vehicle condition and real-world consumption, which is often higher than manufacturer-quoted figures.
Fuel prices used: Super 98 AED 3.80, Special 95 AED 3.69, E‑Plus 91 AED 3.61, Diesel AED 4.30 per litre — effective 1 September 2026. See current & historical UAE fuel prices and our methodology.
How fuel cost is calculated
Fuel required in litres is your distance divided by 100, multiplied by your car’s fuel economy in litres per 100km: litres = (distance ÷ 100) × L/100km. That figure is then multiplied by the current price per litre for your fuel type to get the cost.
If you choose “every day”, “every week” or “every month”, the same one‑time cost is projected across the period you chose, then scaled to daily/monthly/annual figures — so a distance you said is driven weekly is not mistakenly treated as a daily distance.
Frequently asked questions
What fuel economy figure should I use?
Use your car’s real-world average, not the manufacturer’s official (lab-tested) figure — UAE driving conditions (AC use, traffic, high speeds) typically push consumption higher. If you don’t know it, check your car’s trip computer over a few weeks, or use 8–9 L/100km as a rough sedan default.
Why does the calculator ask how often I drive this distance?
A distance driven once (e.g. a single road trip) shouldn’t be multiplied into a misleading “monthly cost.” Telling the calculator the real frequency keeps the daily/monthly/annual projections accurate.
Are these the official UAE fuel prices?
Yes — the prices used are the publicly announced monthly rates for Super 98, Special 95, E‑Plus 91 and Diesel, updated each month on our fuel prices page.

Getting an accurate fuel cost, not just a rough guess
The single biggest source of error in any fuel cost estimate isn't the price per litre, it's the fuel economy figure people plug in. Manufacturer lab-tested numbers are measured under conditions that rarely match UAE driving — constant AC, stop-start city traffic and sustained highway speeds all push real consumption higher than the spec sheet suggests. This fuel cost calculator will only be as accurate as the L/100km figure you enter, so checking your car's trip computer over a couple of weeks is worth the five minutes it takes.
The frequency setting matters just as much. A 400km road trip driven once shouldn't be multiplied into a misleading monthly figure, and a 40km daily commute shouldn't be treated as a one-off — telling the calculator how often you actually drive that distance keeps the projected daily, weekly and monthly numbers honest. If you also cross Salik or Darb gates on the same route, the trip cost calculator adds those on top of the fuel figure this tool gives you.
Prices update monthly on the UAE fuel prices page as soon as the official rate is announced, and the exact formula this fuel cost calculator uses is documented on our methodology page if you'd like to check the maths yourself.

Where this fuel cost calculator gets its prices
Every price in this fuel cost calculator comes from the UAE's official monthly fuel price announcement, published by the UAE Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure — not an estimate or an average pulled from old data. Because petrol and diesel prices in the UAE change on a fixed monthly cycle, this fuel cost calculator is updated the same day the new rates are announced, so a number you see today reflects what you'd actually pay at the pump this month.
